Jump to navigation Jump to search The HBO comedy television series Curb Your Enthusiasm premiered with an hour-long special on October 17, 1999. The series was fly yoga a la reunion by Larry David, who stars as a fictionalized version of himself. The series follows Larry in his life as a semi-retired television writer and producer in Los Angeles. As of December 3, 2017, 90 episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm have aired, concluding the ninth season.

On December 14, 2017, HBO renewed the series for a tenth season. In the HBO special upon which the series was based, Larry approaches HBO about having his own hour-long HBO special. After a long hiatus, Larry begins performing stand-up comedy again in order to prepare for the special. The first season introduces us to Larry’s post-Seinfeld world, where he is wealthy, has a loving wife, a best friend, and also manages to offend everyone around him. It is not long into the series though that we realize that Larry David is his own worst enemy. Larry’s shoes are stolen at the bowling alley and he confronts the thief. Gil’s house after arguing with Larry, and then a man Larry offended earlier at the golf course refuses to give him directions.

Larry wants to buy a bracelet for Cheryl, but he is not buzzed into the store because he is wearing his workout clothes and looks like a homeless person. Richard then decides to buy it for his girlfriend instead, upsetting Cheryl. Larry test-drives Jeff’s car and disastrously mistakes the trademark double-horn sound-effect in an AAMCO radio commercial for a real horn. Larry to write an obituary for Cheryl’s aunt, then blame him for a horrifying typographical error in the piece. Larry and Cheryl travel across L. Larry David pursues a new television project, first with Jason Alexander, and then Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Larry experimentally decides to take a job as a car salesman.

Larry and Jason Alexander contemplate making a new TV series about an actor who can’t find work because he is typecast as his character from a hit television show. Larry helps Jeff move out as he is splitting up with Susie. Larry refuses to give candy to un-costumed teenagers on Halloween, so they toilet-paper his house and spray-paint «Bald Asshole» across his front door. Larry attends a movie premiere of his handicapped friend and is confronted by another Jewish man in the queue for whistling Wagner. Larry suspects HBO executive Allan Wasserman of stealing shrimp from his Chinese food. Larry and Julia successfully pitch the show to ABC.
